SOLO arrives in cinemas after experiencing significant production issues, but early word was good, and so it is that the professionalism and experience of Disney, Lucasfilm and Ron Howard shine through in this fun heist flick. there are some not-unexpected issues with the casting, and some storytelling niggles, but after the downbeat ROGUE ONE, and the disorganised THE LAST JEDI, it’s a welcome addition to the new canon.
